Love It!
What makes a great photo? Everyone has a different opinion on what makes a great photo. Spot on focus, brilliant lighting, breathtaking subject, etc. But what is that one aspect that makes us all love a photo?
Well I don't think you will find any one thing that everyone will like every time, but if you can succeed in making an emotional connection with even one viewer you have a great photo!

Photography
Each and every time your photo is viewed, it is judged by a completely different set of emotional rules than by the previous viewer. I believe that if your goal is to have others inspired and moved by the images you make, you must be inspired and moved by what you see in the subject .
If you want to evoke a strong emotional response from others with your photography, you must have a strong emotional connection to who you are photographing, and you must gain their trust in order for them to connect with you in return. When I display genuine care and concern for the subjects that I shoot, I build strong emotional ties with my clients who will want the same experience again in the future.
Every individual has a desire for gain, a fear of loss, a want to be accepted, and a fear of rejection. Utilize these emotions to relate to your subjects. Facial and body expressions help set the mood of a photo. Helping a subject to recall and display specific emotions can make a difference in a timeless and believable shot and a staged or forced shot.
What I do
I strive to have the personality of the subject to come across so that my photographs communicate their state of mind at the moment the image was captured.
I want the photograph to communicate on an emotional level with the viewer, drawing them in to the point that they can not only relate to the photo, but also feel what the subject was feeling at that moment.
As a photographer I want to go beyond just "taking" a picture, I want to capture the subject's "personality". Is she sensuous? Is he confident?
